When is a spouse entitled to alimony?

How many years do you have to be married before you have to pay alimony in Georgia?

Alimony is not based simply on years of marriage.  Alimony is by need, income/expenses, standard of living, education of the parties, etc.  Obviously, the longer the marriage the more influential that information becomes, but it is not a determining factor alone.
