DUI / DWI Law Answers

A DUI stays on your record forever.  However, the court will only look back a certain number of years to determine your sentence.  In Washington State the "look-back period" is 10 years.  This means that if you have no other DUI's within this time, if you get another DUI it will be treated as your first offense for sentencing purposes.
