How long can a house remain in trust after owner dies?

Question Details:

In Oklahoma, how long can a house remain in trust after the owner dies? My mother died in 2003 and my brother was suppose to get the house put in my name and my sisters name and says he has not done it yet.

Theoretically in perpetuity (forever) depending on how the trust is written and if replacement trusts are created within the original trust agreement (in other words, trust in the name of mom, then to pass in trust to daughter's trust), etc.

So, you would need to review the trust itself.  Second, there are trust laws in every state, including Oklahoma, that cover the trustee duty/responsibility.  In Oklahoma, I believe they are under Wills and Succession.
