How long after getting a CA DUI on another state's license do I have to wait to get a CA license.
Question Details: DUI 11/08. Completed my classes July 09. Went to CA DMV to get my CA license and they said I have to wait 1 year after a DUI. I'm stuck, cant drive on my WA and cant get a CA? Can that be right? Thanks

Yes that can be right, you committed a serious crime. This is not to simply just punish you but ensure you don't kill anyone on the road.
