How do I get police reports from the prosecuting attorney?

In Massachusetts, if you are a criminal defendant, the prosecution will typically provide copies of police reports at either the time of the arraignment, or the pretrial conference.  If you have not received them by that point, a compliance and election date is selected.  The prosecution must provide all evidence against you by the compliance date.  If you have an attorney, they may be able to call the prosecutor or the court and obtain a copy of the police report quicker.
