How do I fix this situation?

Question Details: I have filed for bankruptcy and have met with the trustee. I neglected to mention the sale of an old car for $500 in June of 2008

I'd suggest that you mail a letter to the trustee, giving him this information and apologizing for the oversight.  You haven't said when you started the bankruptcy, so I'm assuming it was a fair amount of time after June 2008.  In that context, it would be expected that this small a sum would have been spent more or less routinely, so it probably won't be a big deal.
