How do I deal with what seems to be a shady car dealership?

I bought a used car about 6 weeks ago and the next day a check engine light for the catalytic converter came on. The dealership says this is not covered under my 90 day warranty and that they did a smog check on the car as well. Idon't see how the converter went bad overnight. I feel like they just reset the light before I took it home and it came on the next day. I have no proof or certification for the smog although Idid leave a voicemail asking for it. What can I do?
You need to find an attorney in your area to see whether your car is covered by your state lemon laws and whether this is something the dealer was hiding when it sold the car to you and breached the warranty on your car.
