How can I remove an attorneys lien from an old automobile accident settlement payment check?
Question Details: The insurance check is made out to both myself and my past attorney, I settled the case myself with an insurance company after my attorney dismissed himself from the case. The case was settled some 2 years ago. The insurance company refuses to issue the check in the plaintiffs name alone. I want no contact with this attorney, as a long term (30 year) professional relationship was severed due to another unrelated matter.
