What can I do if I was charged with a hit and run but my leaving the scene was unintentional?

I was in a car accident. Drivers pulled over and assessed damage to both cars. Other driver said I got the brunt of the damage, with only scratches to her bumper. She got back into her car with no other words exchanged. I assumed she wanted to leave and forget it since minimal scratches and was going to leave. Crossing guard intervened, warning me radiator was leaking and I needed to get out of there or car wouldn't run. In my stress,completely forgot about other car, headed home (around block). Driver followed me, called police, and now court date for hit and run. How do I plead?
