What are acceptable reasons for refusing work when collecting unemployment?

Question Details:

I was fired from/quit my full-time teaching job. Then I got a part-time substitute teaching job. A few months later I applied for unemployment and was accepted. I spent the next few months substitute teaching when I could and collecting unemployment, always reporting what I made subbing to unemployment. A few months later, I stopped taking jobs subbing. Recently I received a Request for Information Relative to Possible Ineligibility or Disqualification. I need to know what are acceptable reasons for refusing work?

One acceptable reason would be a job that is completely inappropriate with you skills and training.  But substitute teaching in not such a job--so you can be disqualified for refusing subbing jobs.  You had better start subbing again if you want to continue being eligible for unemployment insurance.
