What to do if I was caught shoplifting?
Question Details: This is the first time I have ever been in trouble for anything. I am wondering how hard it is to get a petty theft reduced down so I do not get this on my record? So I am unsure if the laws very by state? Is this something I can do on my own or should I get a lawyer? I was arrested on the 19th of this month and go to court on the 29th. Can anyone give me some insight on what happen on the 29th?
