Generally, both parents should have free and reasonable telephone contact with the minor children when the children are with the other parent. That doesn't necessarily mean that either parent can talk to the children any time they want to or several times a day. The frequency typically depends on the situation and/or what the final judgment of dissolution of marriage set forth as to when telephonic contact should occur.
