Am I responsible for a medicl bill if I was tod that I had insurance but didn't?

Question Details: Several month ago, I went to my local clinic and received services. When the clerk checked my insurance for the physical, they said I was good to go and when I went to get the blood test (different department of the clinic) they said that my insurance was inactive, but that I was still okay to receive services. I called the insurance company later that week and turns out my parents had taken me off the account several months prior to receiving the health care services and I wasn't insured at all. I went into the clinic thinking I had insurance coverage and would not have received services had I known I wasn't insured. Am I obligated to pay the bill?
