How do I dissolve an LLC?
Question Details:
I start an LLC company in 2008.It was a partnership but now we decided to dissolve it. We had no activities with the LLC. I want toknow what to do it to dissolve it and how much will cost.
The document that you need to file is a form located on the DE secretary of state's website - dissolution papers regarding LLC's. There are fees associated with filing this document and they change every now and then. The fees can be found on the DE secretary of state website. The fee is not likely more then $100. Before you file, you should make sure that there are no debts of the LLC as you do not want anyone making a claim against you personally. I also suggest that you make sure that you have a lawyer look over the dissolution papers and that you notify the state department of revenue so that they do not bill you for the taxes on the LLC after it is dissolved. Having a lawyer here will help make sure this is done correctly.
