The District Attorney will prosecute the case. If you are concerned for your safety,m you can ask the court to issue an Order of Protection on your behalf.

If the case involves a family member, someone you live with, or someone that you have a romantic relationship with you may be able to pursue an order of protection in family court.  I am a family law attorney.  Give me a call if you would like to discuss the situation.  It would be my pleasure to speak with you about the case.  www.NYAttorneyDivorce.com www.CriminalDefense1.com

Although I do not practice law in the State of New York, here are my initial impressions.  It sounds like you are being harassed and/or threatened as a result of your filing a police report.  If this is true, the person who is doing the threatening will potentially be exposed to additional serious criminal liability for these threats.  Therefore, you need to report this to the police/prosecution.  I do not see what removing your name from the report will achieve, given the fact that this person already has your name and/or contact information.  Good luck.
