Found metal in my coleslaw at a chicken place. Lucky I didn't eat it. Do I have recourse?

Question Details:

When I brought it to the attention of the staff, they did nothing to remedy the situation, tried to dispose of the evidence and the owner accused me of foul play. I did not get hurt physically. Police filed a report and DHEC is currently investigating. What may I do in this situation?

You probably have no claim worth pursuing, because you didn't actually eat the metal and you didn't get sick.  At a higher-quality place, you would have gotten your meal for nothing and a serious apology, groveling not optional, not an accusation of foul play.
