Father wrongly arrested.
Question Details: My father was arrested two days ago for two accounts of vandalism. The court had sent a letter to the wrong address, so my father never knew about the court date. The court then thought that my father was trying to flee and avoid the hearing. The day of the hearing, the court found him guilty and got a warrant for his arrest. They came to his house two days ago and took him to jail. Now he is in jail, innocent, and we don't know what to do next. This is all the courts fault and my father shouldn't be in jail. They are the ones who sent the letter to the wrong address. Please help.

Your family should contact an attorney in your local area immediately. It is very concerning that the "court found him guilty" on the day of the hearing. Perhaps the court was concerned as to whether he was a flight risk and posted a high bond.
Usually criminal cases take some time to work through the court system. Unless he pled guilty at his arraignment (and it would be critical to know if he was represented by an attorney), it is not clear as to why the court found him guilty.
