Can I expunge a felony conviction I order to obtain a "F.I.D." card?

Question Details:

I was convicted of a felony a few years ago and do have a couple of misdemeanor charges. No trouble for several years. The felony is from a guy who sexually assaulted a friend and I found him and "clocked" him. Nobody wanted to charge me because he was a true scumbag, not his first issue with women. The D.A. and I became "friendly" after the fact and he told me he didn't want to prosecute me because any man would have done the same thing for their female friends however he had to do his job and this is what I ended up with.
