How do I get my ex-roommate to pay the money that he owes me?
Question Details:
Ex-roommate owes me $1825. I have a notarized paper with all his information claiming that he would pay back the money that he owes me. Now I'm having issue with him not paying. Help please! What could I do?

After you obtain the judgment you will have to collect. Does he have the $ to pay you?
You could file a lawsuit in Small Claims Court against your ex-roommate for breach of the agreement to pay the amount he owes you. The amount of your claim should include $1825 plus interest accruing since the date the amount was due and court costs. Court costs include the court filing fee and service of process.
