Enforcing a court order.
Question Details:
My ex is not good at following the law. The judge order him to pay back on set dates but he doesn't follow it. He pays if he wants to, if not, he doesn't. My question is, is there anything I can make him pay the balance in full? Whenever he doesn't pay it hurts me and my child in financially.
You need to take this matter back to court. If your husband in willfully and intentionally violating a court order he can be held in contempt. If so, he can receivea hefty fine and/or jail time. Additionally,, he will be required to make up the amount of all missed payments (make sure you gather and bring all records related to this with your to court).
Judge's have very little patience in cases of this kind; no child should be made to suffer due to a father's lack of responsibility.
