DUI on record forever?

Question Details: I am a student about to graduate with a Bachelor's in Nursing from a very reputable CA university. I have 2 DUI's on record (One at age 19, one at 21, I'm 27 now). Is there any action I can take to have these convictions expunged? Being a nurse with 2 of these bad boys is proving to be quite a hindrance when it comes to landing a good position.

I am a lawyer in CT and practice in this area of the law.  You can make application for expungement.  i suggest that you hire a lawyer to help you write the application and make sure you use references that are credible, not bias.  Look for lawyers that practice criminal defense as they are the lawyers that are most familiar with this.

California, unlike some other states, allows for "expungement" of a DUI conviction.  Here's a link to a site that I think you may find to be of help:

Best of luck.
