Dropping Child Support

Question Details: My husband has 2 kids with his previous wife she remarried and her husband is willing to adopt the children which we all feel is in the best interest of the kids but before he adopts she wants my husband to give up rights and she wants to drop child support her husband just left to Iraq and she wants to get all the pre-sttuff out of the way before he gets back to the US so is it possible to have the child support dropped if we all agree?

Sorry to be answering this question so long after you wrote it, but I just got connected to this service.  Yes, if your husband and his ex-wife agree, they can enter an Agreed Order that terminates child support.  You will have to let the court know why that's happening (a "step-parent adoption" is what you tell the court and that's short-hand for the situation).  About your husband "giving up rights", does that include no more visitation with his children?  If so, I'm not sure I would want to sign that.
