Question Details: My son had several under age drinking violations. His permit was suspend for 5 years. He thought it was submitted but is wasn't. He would have been able to get back now that he is 23 but the state had no recorded of it. He now sent the correct paper work and it has been 6 months. he needs to get his licence because of work and expected his first child. What can he do? He was never driving when these offense occur ed. He was walking home.
I am a lawyer in CT and practice in this area of the law. I suggest that you cointact the DMV andf find out the status of his license and the time period for which it is suspended and then try to apply for a temporary drving permit so he can at least drive for work and have this ability. I also suggest that you hire a lawyer to look into your son's court cases where the license was suspended to determine whether there is a way to reopen the cases to get them resolved favorably to get the license reinstated. you need to hire a lawyer unless you are savy enough to talk to the court personelle and DMV on your own.

Are you a lawyer?
