Does Tennessee allow possession charges to be dismissed for first time offenders?
Question Details:
I was only 17 and marijuana was found in my bag along with a pipe. I am now 18 and will be going to court Nov. 6th and want to know if there is anyway the charges could be dropped since it was my first offense?

If you were 17, you should be in Juvenile Court and Yes the charges/case can be dropped, expunged or sealed. If you are in adult court.....the question is WHY? If first offense, under Tn law the charges can be diverted and expunged.
