My understanding is that in Oregon, a minor in possession charge is not a crime; it is an "offense".  As such I do not think that it will have any impact on you chances for diversion.  However, a DUI triggers both a civil and criminal case.  If at all possible, you should try to get legal representation on this.  An attorney experienced in these type cases might be able to get the charge dismissed or at least reduced.

By the way, you are only 17 - you have not screwed up your life -  but you might.  Consider how alcoholis affecting you; let this be a wake-up call.  Diversion is only available once.

Best of luck.
