Do I have any power over my brother in regards to the house we inherited from our mother?

Question Details: My mother passed away two years ago. I was appointed power of attorney, i have been living elsewhere for the past year, we do have renters at the house, he's paid his half of the mortgage, i've paid mine. But I've paid the property taxes and house insurance, plus he owes me for my half of the rent he's been collecting. Do I have any power over him? Do I have leverage to fight for full ownership of the house, since he's not fully paying his half?

This is complicated.   I would need to see all of the documents to give you a good opinion on where you stand.   You may need to open a probate to resolve this.   However, it is unlikely that you could gain full ownership of the house.

You need to consult with an attorney and show all the documents to get this resolved.
