Question: Auto Accidents - California

Asked on 10/2/2009
Do I have any legal options if I was in a motorcycle accident and didn't have insurance?
I was Injured in a motorcycle accident and didn't have insurance. State Farm is suing me for $4,000 damage to the other parties vehicle. I've got $100,000 in medical bills and wasn't able to work for months. Do I have any legal options? Or do lawyers just work between insurance companies?

AttorneyPages has verified that this person is an attorney.

You have the right to bring a claim for your special damages (medical bills and loss of earnings); however, if you did not have insurance, you cannot recover pain and suffering.  See Civil Code section 3333.4.  Then, look on the AttorneyPages web site and try to find a lawyer.  Good luck.
