Do I have a right to hold back partial payment for work done if there are problems with it?
Question Details: I just had a concrete driveway installed for $10,000 and now received a bill for the remaining balance about $7,000. There some defects in the driveway I'd like taken care of before I pay the entire balance. Is this legal? I don't want this to affect my credit. I'm considering holding back $1,000 - $1,500 and paying the rest.
