How can I make sure that my ex-husband is carrying health insurance for our daughter?
Question Details:
I obtained a divorce in 10/09. It was stated at that time that my ex-husband was to supply health insurance on our daughter. I believe that he is not doing this as he was suppose to supply with me with name of company and the policy number. I would like to know what my next steps are to getting this taken care of?
Ask your attorney to send a letter indicating that pursuant to the decree of divorce he was to provide health insurance for your child and provide you with verification of insurance. Ask for her ID card from the insurance carrier which will have her name and policy number on it. If he does not provide it or he did not do what he was supposed to, you will have to force him by going to court to enforce the order. Good luck.
