can a judge hear my divorce case if he/she is a life long friend of my spouse

No. You should ask that the judge recuse him/herself or cause. If the judge has not yet made any orders in the case, you have the right to a one time peremptory request based on prejudice. However, save you peremptory challenge if you can make a successful challenge for cause.
