What to do about unfair alimony payments?

Question Details:

I recently received my divorce papers stating that I have to pay $1,100 a month permanent alimony because my ex-wife's lawyer wrote in the divorce papers that I am possibly employed by the civil service (I'm not and never have been) and can afford to pay it. My ex and her lawyer know where I work and how much I make. I'm retired military and she is currently receiving half of my pension and she is a full-time supervisory employee with a pharmaceutical company. I don't make near as much as they assume. What can I do after the fact to have my voice heard.
