Am I a victim of gender discrimination?

Question Details:

I have 4+ years of service to this company. I a female in the construction field had $4.50 per hour cut in pay ($16.50 down to $12.00 when the boss hired his buddy paying him $15.00 per hour to work with me doing exactly the same job (which I was doing by myself before he was hired).
