Denial Fire Claim & answering the summons

Question Details: Fire Insurance Claim denial stated home was vacant for 30 days prior to the fire. Owner was unaware the tenants had moved out due to living in another state. Is there anything I can do? I still have a mortgage on a home that does not exist anymore? I received a Summons with regards to a Homeowners claimed denial. On the Summons is says I must response within 30 days- I don't know what I'm suppose to say. Should I just write a letter saying: 1. Yes I would like to appear in court when the date is set? 2. This is my claim verfying the info? Please advise.
