Deed restrictions

Question Details:

We live in a private neighborhood with deed restrictions. We live on a blind corner that people go really fast around so we put out an orange cone to try to slow them down so our young child won't get hurt. Homeowners Assoc. says that we can't put out the cone anymore. Is there anything we can do to protect our rights and our child?

I have the same problems in my neighboorhood.

I suggest you contact your local police department and/or city councilman.

You also might want to speak with a real estate contract attorney to confirm there is something in the deed restrictions/HOA by-laws that prohibits the use of cones.
