debt from 2001 ex wife medical divorced 2003 am i liable
state of ohio written in divorce papers she is liable for her medical bills. i was not aware of this debt until a week ago when a colector called.do i have to pay?

Creditors are NOT bound by the divorce decree. If you were responsible for this debt due to insurance reasons or something else at the time then you are still responsible per the creditor. You can direct them to your ex wife for payment. You can also file contempt of court against her for not paying this bill and causing harm to your credit.
