Question Details: I am currently paying a creditor for an 8-9 year old credit card debt cause the judge told me the statute did not apply to this unsecured debt?? I have payed them more than the original amount due and can no longer pay them. What are my options?

If this is something a judge decided recently, within the last month, you need to talk to an attorney as soon as possible, because you might very well have an appeal worth filing.  I don't know why the judge said the statute of limitations didn't apply, and I think that needs a closer look, based on the detailed facts of your case.

Otherwise, your only option might be bankruptcy.  A judgment, in New Jersey, is good for 20 years.
