Bankruptcy Law Answers

I am a lawyer in CT and practice in this area of the law.  If the credit card company gets a judgment against you they may attach your checking account.  I suggest filing a motion to open the judgment if you were not aware of the judgment/court date and try to settle the claim with the creditor.  the creditor will likely work with you to pay off the debt.
