Question Details: my daughter was a diabetic and a person of question caused her so much stress and made her leave her home under the pretext that the home was in foreclosure and she had to leave immediately. Then went to her home at all hours of the night and said she owed her money and wanted it. My daughter died on April 2, 2009. The death certificate said complications due to diabetes. Could the stress she caused her be considered a wrongful death?
I'd say it's a long shot. You'd have to have a doctor, preferably one of her treating doctors, who was willing to testify that the stress caused the death, and that doctor would need to have pretty good expert credentials, such as being on a medical school faculty. My experience with experts of this sort makes me think that the essential part of the case would be very difficult to put together.
If you had enough to get into discovery on this case, your daughter's life would be opened up and tossed around. You should talk to a lawyer in your area, for reliable advice about whether you have a case worth bringing and, if so, what it would require going through.

Are you a lawyer?
