Colorado 10 year old felony conviction, seal or expungement? I want to put it behind me!

Question Details: In 1999, I was conviction for Falsifying a Financial Statement which is a Class 6 Felony in Colorado. I was sentenced to FULL restitution, No contact with victims, No credit cards, and 10 years of Probation. Of which I finished 1 yr early as of last year. I have been trying to find a job outside my current job, but the Felony is always brought up. I have to enter it in every application for employment and have to explain it in interviews. Will this continue to follow me the rest of my life or can I get it removed? I wrote the Governor to no avail as I heard he could help.

Colorado law currently does not allow for sealing of this type of conviction - only Class 5 or 6 felony convictions related to certain drug offenses. Sorry. Only hope is a 'pardon' from the governor and that is not very likely
