Claim in appraisal

My attorney will not respond to my e mail as to the status of my case. It has been in appraisal now about 5 months. Is there a time limit this is in appraisal?

You should call his office to request a face to face meeting.  If he/she will not respond, then terminate his services and retain another attorney. 

I do not understood what you mean by appraisal?  What legal services is this attorney providing?
