Child support amount

Question Details:

I make $3120 a month; my ex-wife makes $2340.She pays the healthcare for our 13-year-old which is around $130.00 monthly. She wants to take me back to court for more money because she’s mad I’ve remarried and I have another child. Our 13-year-old is with me about 40% of the time. He even uses my address for the school he goes to. Can anyone please tell me what amount you think the courts will say. I’m hoping my ex ex-wife will hurt herself and my payments go down.

You can go into the DHR website and download a child support worksheet.  Input the gross monthly income for both parents and the healthcare amount and this will give you the ballpark figures for child support.  The child support laws changed in 2007 so if your divorce was prior to that, your child support figure may have changed.
