Employment and Labor Law Answers

I am a lawyer in CT and practice in this area of the law.  A former employer is not permitted to lie and interfere with your ability to obtain new employment.  If you believe that your former employer is lying and keeping you from obtaining new employment, you may sue the former employer for tortious interference with contract.  this is an actionable tort and you may obtain damages.  I suggest that you make an appointment with a lawyer.  most lawyers will meet with you the first time for free.
