Can the city refuse to give the name of a business owner in the city?
Question Details: I am going to sue a company and I need to know who the owners were so I can list them as defendants in the suit. I went to the city to request to see the records showing who the owners are. They said my request was denied. Is there recourse?

The city is not required to provide that information unless you send them third-party discovery or a subpoena through a lawsuit.
