Can my landord spread to other tenets that I personally told her that those certain people did not have to pay and pet deposit.

Question Details: My landlord is always rude to me. I notified her that I have a dog and she drew up a pet deposit agreement for me. I knew that although it was in the original agreement to pay a deposit for pets, that she was not charging others a deposit even though she knew they had pets. She has now called those people I mentioned to her and told them they have to pay, and that they should thank me for it. My neighbors are angry at me of course, but I feel that was a private conversation in her office. I would just move but can't break lease.

So what is your question? You told the landlord something about others.  Why would you consider that a private conversation? It is not your privacy the landlord is breaking.  Further, you brought it on yourself.  If you felt it was unfair for you to pay, you should have not agreed to it in the first place in the agreement.

She isn't defaming you.
