Can my landlord give police permission permission to enter my home with no warrant? Can they take belongings?
Question Details: while i was at work, a neighbor called to tell me the police raided my home. I have no criminal background. nobody told me why they were there in the first place but they did take a small amount of marijuana and some paraphernalia. i was not evicted which makes me wonder if the landlord knows they were in the wrong for allowing them to go in. I also never heard from the police, no phone call or even a note saying they had been there. This incident has caused me to become agoraphobic and consequently i lost my good paying job and struggle to make rent each month.

Unless your written lease provides otherwise, a landlord does not have authority to give consent to a search of your apartment.
