Can my ex refuse to pay child support or pay less because I choose to become a stay at home mom?

Question Details:

Became stay at home mom by choice due to new relationship and second child. Childcare costs were a little high and I have decided to find evening job and try to go back to school.

If you have a support order, he should be paying at least that much. Now since you voluntarily quit your job, your previous income may be imputed for support calculation. That does not mean your ex can reduce the support previously calculated or refuse to pay at all. It is just that you may not try to increase the support due to your unemployment.
