Can my employer make me pay for a returned customer check that I accepted?
Question Details: If I accept a check from a customer and the check bounces, can my employer legally make me pay the company the amount of the bad check?

If your employer regularly accepts checks from customers and you are authorized to accept checks from customers you would not be responsible for paying a bad check that you received in the normal course of business unless you violated some company rule regarding the receipt of customer checks.
