can my daughters dad over power my will to get custody of our daughter instead of my sister getting her as quoted in the will?

A parent can still name a guardian for their child, which a court may take into consideration in determining the best interests of the child. Maybe you should have this conversation with the father - what should happen if you die? If the father would not want full-time custody, but still wants to maintain the contact/custody he does have, then perhpas he would consent to sharing custody with your daughter's guardian.
