Can I talk to a judge without having a hearing date scheduled? - Texas

Question Details: My ex-wife is the Custodial parent for our child. She has been evicted from her home, and hdoes not have a new place to live yet. Is there any way I can speak with a judge to get custody of our child, so that the child will not be living out of my ex-wife's vehicle?

No, you cannot speak to the Judge of your case without the other party present.  It is referred to as an ex-parte communication which is inappropriate.  That said, there is a Motion for Ex-Parte Temporary Orders.  You really need a lawyer to help you with this though.
