Then they said if I returned the money they would promise to not do anything and not even mention it on the flight report. This made me give the money to the flight attendant because my husband's father is the founder and I wanted to prevent any problems as we are newlyweds. This has caused extreme stress in my life leading to a serious of problems. Pls. advice what I can do.

You need to talk to a lawyer about this.  If there's a case here, it will depend on a lot of factual details, about the incident on the airplane, and about what might have happened afterwards.

However, I don't want to get your hopes up.  In the first place, if you actually did take another passenger's money, giving it to the flight attendant didn't cure that, and doesn't make a report that you took the money false just because you later gave it back before the report was written.
